I received a new toy in the mail today, a golden SV spool for my T3. From all reports it changes things up dramatically over the RCS 1016 spool that comes standard with the T3 and unlike the spool in the T3 Air is braid and PE friendly. Time to spool it up with line and time to get bassing.
I’m turning over some of my Freams and replacing them with the new Luvias. From all reports they’re kick arse, so I can’t wait to strap them to a couple of rods to see how they go. I’ll add the Luvias to the products that I’m road testing and reviewing, so stay tuned for pics and a lowdown on how they go.
Want to be wowed when it comes to a tow vehicle for you bass boat than check out Brandon’s Beast. It and its light will impress.
The Daiwa Steez SV is at the top of my list for must haves. Taking the air brake system of the T3 Air and putting it in a Steez what’s not to like. Let’s hope I don’t have to wait too long to get my hands on one.
This is a fish I affectionately named Frank the Tank. He came from a laydown at Eungella Dam (December 2011) and in addition to giving me a heap of fun he also gave the spinnerbait a good work out. I’m not sure what they love more, eating spinnerbaits or destroying them. I know I’ve had them do plenty of the latter.
Pimping a spin reel is a pretty straight forward thing to do. The pimping options in most cases are easier to make in a spin than a baitcaster and the transformation happens a lot quicker. Let’s take a look at what’s available if you want to overhaul your favourite spin reel.
Here’s some pics of the first Megabass Ito 103 that I owned. She no longer has a place in my tackle collection but I’m sure one day I’ll have one again. They’re too good to go without.
